Alison has 25 years senior experience in a wide range of property types. Her expertise encompasses all aspects of the valuation, financing, purchase and sale of commercial real estate.

Prior to founding Real Property Solutions in 2001, Alison spent 16 years of her career in a variety of institutional roles, culminating in ten years as Vice-President, Property Investments of a Canadian life insurance company. For this company she designed and implemented a successful recovery strategy on a $300 million mortgage portfolio which had a 65% default rate, a record high for the Canadian marketplace.

Working in a leadership capacity, Alison's career also spans the following:

A total of ten years of real estate consulting experience, including almost eight years with Real Property Solutions.

Acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management for a $150 million equity real estate portfolio.
Roles on both the buy and the sell sides of a corporate sale: on the due diligence team for two potential purchases of life insurance companies; key member of the selling team for a life insurance company.
Corporate secretary of a life insurance company for five years.

Alison brings to her work a unique combination of a high-level strategic vision and a practical, hands-on approach. Her quick grasp of an organization's priorities and challenges, and her deep and varied experience make her an ideal choice to advise.

Alison is currently the Vice-Chair of the Toronto chapter of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and the Programs Chair for Toronto CREW.
